In the view of the so-called Supreme Court of Russia, yet another organization has been designated “terrorist.” What is especially striking is that its members have nothing to do with weapons and, moreover, oppose violent solutions involving weapons—namely, the “Anti-War Committee.” This raises a question: if under the banner of law and justice we see pseudo-followers of those principles, how far can they go—branding decent people as terrorists while calling war criminals heroes? This is the paradox of today’s upside-down surrealism called Russia.

Below is the essence of the official position as stated in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation’s announcement: the court recognized the “Anti-War Committee of Russia” as a terrorist organization. The statement claims that leadership and oversight of the organization are carried out by Mikhail Khodorkovsky, designated a “foreign agent.” It also states that, in the court’s view, acts attributed to the committee fall under Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code. As an example, it cites Leonid Gozman, reportedly found guilty by a final judgment of the 2nd Western District Military Court dated 14 November 2025, which—under Part 2 of Article 24 of the law “On Countering Terrorism”—is presented as grounds to label the organization terrorist.

The Administrative Cases Chamber banned the organization and its structural подразделения from operating in Russia, emphasizing that the decision is effective immediately.
