We previously wrote about Galina Filchenko and the accusations of involvement in a so-called terrorist organization. Unfortunately, the Russian court once again followed its usual practice and extended her detention until May 2, 2026.

The Lefortovo District Court placed Galina Filchenko in pre-trial detention until May 2, 2026.

Filchenko is charged with participation in a terrorist community (Part 2, Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and attempted seizure of power (Article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to OVD-Info, attorneys Nikita Spivak and Ilya Shutov said that the case is connected to the “Congress of People’s Deputies”, which the Russian authorities have designated as a terrorist organization and banned.
