Earlier, we told you about “torture pits” for Russian servicemen—places where those who, for some reason, became “unwanted” by the command or were said to have “done something wrong” are sent. But new testimonies make what is happening look even more horrifying: it resembles not merely punishment, but a systematic experiment to suppress soldiers’ will and psyche, aimed at “raising obedient warrior-slaves.”

According to these accounts, men are kept in chains, with almost no food, almost no sleep, and no hygiene, while being forced to “use their brains” and demonstrate obedience—seemingly designed to extract maximum submission at minimal physiological “cost”: cut sleep, cut food, erase humane conditions. The most shocking part: in this version, even soldiers who “did nothing wrong” are forced to memorize strange information, and if they fail, they are deprived of even the tiny ration/sleep they still have. It looks like methodical breaking: memorize—survive; fail—lose the last scraps. If this is not an experiment, then what is it?

Relatives link these details to the conditions of fighters from the 61st Separate Naval Infantry Brigade military unit 38643 . Wives of servicemen shared photos and videos showing that their husbands are kept chained in a basement under inhuman conditions. The descriptions include:

‼️ “At this moment we ended up in a basement where the guys are put in chains and beaten. Here the sleep ration is 4 hours. From food they give only half a can of stewed meat per day and a piece of bread.”

According to relatives, punishment can be triggered even by minor “offenses”:

“This is how they punish us if we don’t manage to get up on time when the guards enter the cell. And we have to sleep on the concrete like this.”

Among those held are named Pavelov Alexey Alexandrovich, Kazachko Artyom Nikolaevich, Kumpan Vasily Vladimirovich, and 15 other servicemen. It is reported they are regularly subjected to physical violence and humiliation, and the conditions strip them of human dignity:

“Washing—over all this time they gave us one wipe once in 43 days so we could wipe our face. No calls to relatives, no request to call and say where we are <…> They beat us constantly. As they say, for preventive purposes. They also constantly bring guys who get beaten. I’m asking very much for your help to get out of here. Even I don’t know what exactly I was detained for.”

And, reportedly, the only connection to the outside world was a hidden phone belonging to one of the fighters—but relatives say two weeks ago it was found and taken by the guards, and since then no information about the servicemen has come in.

In the end, the main and most frightening question remains: what guarantees are there that this scheme is not being tested as a “pilot” in order to become a mass practice later?
