Suppressing truth and youthful idealism through imprisonment is going according to plan — reports an accomplice of a mafia clan (source) and, at the same time, the chairman of Russia’s Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, who has retained all the attributes of a gangster lifestyle (source): the jailing of students, teachers, teenagers, people with disabilities, pensioners, and other individuals involved in spreading facts that have already been documented and require no further proof is proceeding successfully. That is exactly what follows from the essence of his statement about a decline in so-called crimes:

Over the past three years, 159 minors have been brought to criminal liability, whom investigators link to “sabotage and terrorist acts” at transport infrastructure facilities.

Bastrykin also says the number of cases related to “fake news about the army” and “discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation” is decreasing.

“Fake news about the army” (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code):
2022 — 183 cases
2024 — 140 cases
9 months of 2025 — 115 cases

“Discrediting the Armed Forces” (Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code):
2023 — 76 cases
2024 — 72 cases
9 months of 2025 — twice as many fewer

Overall, since 2022, 325 criminal cases on the “dissemination of false information” and 125 criminal cases on “discrediting” the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have been sent to court.
