This is another story showing that none of the safeguards meant to protect servicemen from abuse of power actually work — neither the courts nor a medical fitness category. All health-based protections for servicemen are nothing more than words on paper. This case makes it clear: a man deemed limitedly fit with category “V”, while also under ongoing legal proceedings, was forcibly taken to the front.
“They put him into a car in handcuffs and drove him away somewhere.”
The wife of a mobilized serviceman asked for help in finding her husband, who was taken on 13 January 2026 to the military commandant’s office in Lipetsk. Pavel Dmitrievich Morozov (born 24 August 1991), attached to military unit 81819, was in Lipetsk under investigation and was awaiting a court decision in his case. Earlier, he had undergone treatment and afterward received a military medical board conclusion assigning him fitness category “V” (limitedly fit).
“He was in treatment for a long time and received category ‘V’ — limitedly fit.”
She reported that on 14 January 2026, the day after he was taken to the commandant’s office, Pavel made contact and said he was being transported to Shebekino in the Belgorod region. There has been no contact with him since.
“It’s been a week now and there’s no information about him anywhere — not even at the commandant’s office; no one tells me anything.”
His wife asks for information about Pavel Morozov’s whereabouts and for his health condition to be taken into account.
