They are torn out of childhood, crippled, tortured like animals, and then sent to die — this is the familiar path for far too many young people in Russia. The saddest part is that justice is still being sought from the very instruments that themselves serve war and lawlessness. There is nothing new here except one thing: far too many still have not understood that you cannot play by the rules of a machine built on the destruction of two peoples.
Another confirmation of this monstrous practice is the story of Alexander Karavay. According to the girlfriend of the missing serviceman, Alexander Sergeyevich Karavay, born on 13 February 2006, was sent on a combat mission on 16 December 2025, and by 24 December 2025 he had been declared missing in action.
According to her, before that Alexander, as an alleged runaway, was caught, taken to a pit where he spent six days, then handcuffed and sent to the front line. She states that 19-year-old Alexander was attached to the 1st Motorized Rifle Regiment (military unit 31135) of the 2nd Guards Tamanskaya Motorized Rifle Division of the 1st Tank Army.
She asks for the case to be made public and stresses that Alexander is disabled, yet the military medical commission in Severodonetsk ignored his condition. According to her, he is missing 10 centimeters of bone in his leg, replaced by a titanium plate, but despite this, the commission declared him fully fit for service and completely healthy.
His relatives appealed to the Ministry of Defense, the military prosecutor’s office, and the State Duma, but achieved no result. And this, too, has already become a system: a person is first maimed, then declared “fit,” then broken completely and sent to a place from which far too many never return.
