No matter how brutal the Stalinist regime was—pushing war invalids out of the public eye—the Putin regime, willingly or unwillingly, has gone even further: according to the authors of the video and the accompanying text, disabled servicemen, including those with non-functioning limbs, are being sent on a combat mission—essentially a one-way trip. The phenomenon, the authors claim, is widespread, and the mission allegedly implies sending all disabled soldiers currently in the unit. Details are below. “We’re just sick; they don’t want to treat us—they’ve simply decided to kill everyone at once.”
Servicemen from Company “V” of the 59th Guards Tank Regiment (military unit 94018 ) of the 20th Guards Combined Arms Army reported that 11 men with injuries and illnesses of varying severity are being sent on a combat mission to the area of the settlement of Karpovka, from which, according to them, evacuation is impossible. The video reportedly shows Shota Vazhaevich Margvelashvili, Dmitry Alexandrovich Bugakov, Alexander Pavlovich Bogomolov, Sergey Gennadyevich Kleshyov, and other soldiers.
According to the servicemen, they were equipped and prepared for deployment, and when they stated their medical condition, military police arrived at the location.
Shota Margvelashvili cannot walk due to injuries to both legs and uses a wheelchair. He claims the command intends to send them on a combat mission in order to “zero them out.”
“What’s the point of these Kalashnikovs if we can’t fking walk, basically. This is the kind of lawlessness going on in the 59th tank regiment. They’ve simply decided to destroy us. I have category ‘V’ with a red stamp; my legs don’t work. One doesn’t work at all. The right one—my foot was broken, shrapnel in the knee. This guy also had osteomyelitis. One is stitched up along and across. Here’s a man without fingers who’s filming. Show your hand. That’s how they’re sending us on a combat mission. This man’s right arm is hanging—doesn’t work. That’s how the Defense Ministry, our command, is disposing of us.”**
Most of the servicemen in the video reportedly have “V” category with a red stamp following the medical board, which, as stated, excludes them from participating in combat operations.
