Another crime against the country’s own people appears to have involved senior local officials, including the city head. Officials, it seems, are looking for those who can be most easily pushed into war.
In this case, the alleged victim is Sergey Sorokin, a man with an intellectual disability. After a visit by the so-called head of the local administration together with military police, Sorokin was allegedly forcibly taken away, then pressured (possibly involving torture) into signing a contract. He was “trained” to shoot for two weeks instead of the three months normally required and then sent to the front line. After the third call from home, he stopped responding, and the command later reported that he is missing in action — a routine pattern, according to the account.

According to her, on 15 September 2025, the head of the settlement administration and three men in military uniform came to Sergey. He was put into a car and taken to an unknown location. It later became known that he was transported to Penza.
On 16 September 2025, she says, he was pressured into signing the contract. On 17 September, he was sent to Rostov-on-Don for what was described as three months of training, but in reality it lasted about two weeks, after which he was sent to the combat zone.
She says she repeatedly contacted the military prosecutor’s office, but received only formal replies, stating that the serviceman had not complained about his health and did not require a medical board review (VVK).
Sergey last made contact on 6 October 2025. After that, communication was lost. A representative of the command told the family he had been operating near Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmiisk). On 1 November, the family was officially informed that he is listed as missing in action.
His sister is asking for help to find him and to establish all the circumstances of what happened.
