In this news story, we see the fate of a serviceman from the Chechen unit “Sever-Akhmat”, where torture, extortion, and violence against the rank-and-file—judging by the family’s appeal—look less like an exception and more like a mirror image of what happens in many other Russian units. His relatives say that neither 2 million rubles, handed over through extortion “to get him out” of the “pit,” nor the endless kickbacks and withdrawals helped—it did not save him. After his last call, he was sent on a “one-way mission,” and from his crushed state it was obvious: he understood everything. And now his sister once again calls for justice… but to whom?

Who set up this meat grinder of two peoples, holding the country in fear at the end of his life and under almost lifelong power? Or should one appeal to those who for years fit themselves into this system for personal gain and unchecked corruption? To whom?

“They extorted money, they beat him. The last time, in June 2025, his mother sent 2 million rubles to that regiment so they would pull him out of the pit.”

The sister of serviceman Khodzhiyev Abubakar Salmanovich, who served in the 78th Motorized Special-Purpose Regiment “Sever-Akhmat” (military unit 77192 (https://t.me/ne_zhdi_novosti/2940)) of the 58th Combined Arms Army, recorded another address. In it, she asks that a criminal case be opened against representatives of the regiment’s command.

In a previous video (https://t.me/ne_zhdi_novosti/4825), she said the family had been informed of Abubakar’s death, but no documents or evidence were provided. According to her, every attempt to obtain confirmation has failed:
“We wrote everywhere, to everyone, even to the Red Cross. But no one can prove his death to us.”

She now says the family was given an extract from an order of the unit commander, signed by the acting regimental commander, Lieutenant Colonel Zingiyev Zayndi Ramzanovich. The document states that Khodzhiyev sustained injuries incompatible with life as a result of a VOG grenade dropped from a UAV.

At the same time, the woman claims that the servicemen listed in the order as “witnesses” are fighters who do not serve in this unit. Because of this, the family doubts the reliability of the information:
“They list people who aren’t even in the regiments as supposed witnesses. And there are very big inconsistencies in the reports, where they cite documents on the basis of which he died.”

She also states that physical violence and shakedowns are common in the unit. According to her, Abubakar was kept in a pit and the family was forced to pay a large sum for his “release.” She also says that before he was sent on a combat mission he needed medical help, but this was ignored.

Separately, she claims that after her brother disappeared, unknown persons continued to withdraw money from his bank card. She presents a bank statement and believes the command may be involved:
“They want to build happiness on someone else’s grief. They take the money from there—drain all the accounts.”

The woman demands that a criminal case be opened against those responsible and that she be told where her brother is.
